Defiant Whiskey will present a four-course gourmet meal prepared by the top catering chefs of the region.
Back in August, Bold Life profiled Defiant Whisky’s Tim Ferris, a deep-sea salvage diver from Rutherford County who turned his love of dangerous heroics into a Bostic, NC, distillery that proudly (and, yes, defiantly) flouts conventional whiskey wisdom to make a quality product in record time. At the time Bold Life’s Jen Nathan Orris talked to Ferris, his company was set to open a brand-new destination retreat in nearby Golden Valley: a former Girl Scout camp situated on 550 beautiful rural acres, intended to host family gatherings, weddings, and business getaways (plus tours of the nearby distillery).
Starting October 23, and continuing every Friday through November 20, the facility will present a four-course gourmet meal prepared by the top catering chefs of the region. Dinners include hors d’oeuvres, a starter course, main entrée and dessert, plus complimentary Defiant Whisky tastings. Guests must be 21 or older. Reservations are required. Space limited.
