Streetwise: If There Was Only One Season In A Year, What Would It Be And Why?

BY MARSHALL GORDON

Some like the hot; others love the cold. It seems we all have our favorite season...one that we'd be content to live with day in, day out, 12 months a year. With the recent passing of summer into fall, Bold Life set out to find out which season tops your list when we asked,

"IF THERE WAS ONLY ONE SEASON IN A YEAR, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?"

Coyote Medicine Howl, Flat Rock

Probably spring. Rebirth. The floral smells are the most fresh. Migratory birds. Watching new tree growth. People seem ready to be liberated from winter...you can see it in their smiling eyes.

Anna Wright, Flat Rock

Fall. You're preparing yourself...the earth is changing so we need to acclimate ourselves to the coming winter. And the fall colors...the trees seem to speaking very loudly.

Todd Baker, Hendersonville

Fall. The colors, no pollen, not real hot. I work outdoors. And the holidays are just around the corner.

Dean Patton, Horse Shoe

Definitely summer. I enjoy the sunshine, the heat, hiking, camping. Anyone who likes the outdoors would probably choose summer. And, it's more conducive to landscaping, which is my business.

Ed Cunningham, Hendersonville

Summer. The green grass, the garden which I enjoy. All the activities downtown — the antique car shows here and in Brevard. The street dances. The Curb Market with all its fresh produce.

Kelly Olson, Franklin

Fall. I'm from Florida and it's the only season I can survive, no matter where I live.
