Streetwise: Are You Ready for Spring?

BY MARSHALL GORDON

What a winter. For those who endured this record breaker, it seemed as if all that snow and cold would never go away. But hope rings eternal. And so does spring. Think longer days, warmer weather, flowers in bloom and the promise of going outside and enjoying the weather — without 20 layers of clothing and snow shovel in hand. Which leads Bold Life to ask,

"Are you ready for spring?"

Stacey Noll, Boerne, Texas

I'm very much ready for spring. I'm moving into a new house, thinking whether I'm going to put in tomato plants or not.

Lisa Moore, Memphis, Tennessee

Oh, yes. I'm looking forward to spring. Getting the lettuce out of my garden, taking my kids swimming and hiking.

Melissa Warner, Raleigh, North Carolina

Absolutely. Spring is the time for new beginnings...to get outside.

Stephen Watters, Flat Rock

We're going to Yorkshire, England to enjoy the spring. The crocuses and daffodils — they'll be everywhere.

Betsy Little, White Fish, Ontario

The new growth, thinking about gardening, starting the car without having to clean the snow and ice off, the longer days. What's not to like?

Caroline Gunther, Hendersonville

I'm absolutely ready for spring. The bad weather kept the shoppers away. I'm a warm weather girl.
