It's July, smack dab in the middle of summer. There are plenty of warm days and evenings ahead. And barbeques, farm fresh fruits and vegetables, dining alfresco. Ah, the wonderful tastes and delicacies of this favorite sunshiny season. But for some, regardless of incentive, there's a limit to what one will consume, which is why Bold Life wants to know,
"What food would you never, ever eat?"
Kyle Connel, Flat Rock
Cuy. Down in Peru, it's a delicacy. When I was there, I discovered it was hamster.
Renee Kumor, Hendersonville
Something I've seen cross the road; bugs. Like the stuff the guy you see on TV that eats bizarre things.
Earl Reid, Dacusville, South Carolina
Possum. Too greasy. My grandmother loved it. My grandfather would catch one, put it up in a pen and feed it corn bread and buttermilk for two weeks. Then, he'd clean it and cook it for her. She relished it. It never looked good to me.
Rachel Hubbard, Fletcher
Squid. It freaks me out.
Ella White, Hendersonville
Anything animal. I don't believe in slaughtering them for our eating pleasure.
Tina Capogna, Hendersonville
We lived in Tennessee and people said they ate brains and eggs. Apparently they scrambled them. My husband and I moved down from Massachusetts. It just didn't appeal to me. Period.
