Animal Tracks and Tracking Program

On Saturday, June 2, at 11am naturalist Steve O’Neil will present an educational program at FENCE all about animal tracks and tracking WNC native animals. Over the last two decades O’Neil has conducted several reptile, bat, bear, and vulture conservation, ecology, and environmental education and research projects studying the Eastern box turtle, black rat snake, timber rattlesnake, black vulture, black bear, and native bats. He will visit FENCE and present a detailed program on his findings on the movements, habitat selection, and life history of these amazing yet very misunderstood creatures. In this program, h will bring along some living examples of the animals he has followed as well as examples of the equipment, photos, videos and maps he uses to follow them in their natural habitats.
