Arida Arts Symposium

October 4, 2019

Vase by Joel Hunnicutt

Annual symposium is headlined by vessel woodturner Joel Hunnicutt, who will lead a workshop from 10-11:30am and host another presentation at 7pm, part of an annual event that celebrates regional makers who have leveraged their talent in the national and international marketplace. Hunnicutt’s uniquely lathed vessels have a sheen like stained glass and are numbered in collections as far away as Syria, Turkey, and the Maldives. Hunnicutt is a Hendersonville resident and a co-owner and member of Ariel Craft Gallery in Asheville. The Symposium takes place at Bo Thomas Auditorium, Blue Ridge Community College, 180 West Campus Drive, Flat Rock. www.blueridge.edu/aridaartswww.blueridge.edu. 828-694-1710.
