Bag Lunch Arts: A Spiritual Journey Through Egypt’s Sacred Sites

FreeJoin Peggy Moore as she leads a visual tour through the amazing sacred sites of ancient Egypt. The tour will journey to the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, the Perfect and Imperfect Pyramids of Dahsur, as well as the Egyptian Museum, Blue Lotus Water Gardens, and the Sufi Whirling Dervishes. She will discuss Luxor’s Karnak Temple complex, Luxor Temple, and mosque. Next is the Valley of the Kings and Tutankhamun’s tomb, Habou Temple, and Rasmmussen Temple, as well as the Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut’s Temple and Hathor’s Temple. On the River Nile there’s the Temple of Horus in Edfu. It is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and was dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus. Finally, she will discuss a Nubian village, the Aswan Museum, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Coptic Cathedral, and the Philae Temple which was dedicated to the Goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. Peggy Reeder Moore is a life-long student of spiritual and metaphysical studies and has followed her heart to spiritual journeys in several countries and led tours trips to the mounds, standing stones, and sacred sites of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, and is now leading a trip to Egypt.
