Banjo Player Dom Flemons

January 25, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

$15

Grammy Award winning banjo player Dom Flemons, co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, will be the featured performer at the January edition of the Keeping the Fires Burning series that celebrates the heroes of Southern Appalachian culture. Fleming was one of the leading musicians in the country to awaken Americans to the rich African-American roots tradition, which is the basis for the old-time and bluegrass traditions. Flemons will perform his unique blend of traditional music and tell the stories of how the music has connected the Southern people to its history for generations. Advance reservations are strongly suggested.
