Beginning Knitting Workshop

January 17, 2019

Who doesn’t fantasize about sitting in front of a fireplace (or gathering around Purple Crayon’s Stitching Circle!), in the dead of winter, knitting? Whether you’re completely new to the craft, have tried to learn to knit and failed, or simply want a refresher, this fun, four-week course is for you!

Camille Daunno has been knitting since she was old enough to hold a pair of needles, and teaching folks—both kids and adults—how to knit for almost as long! (Not really, but 50 years is a pretty long time!)

In the first two classes, Camille will cover the “mechanics” of knitting: how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast off, read a pattern, and understand knitting terms. After that, you’ll learn how to form a sweater stitch, garter stitch, and ribbing to knit a basic scarf and hat.

For about the price of a night out, you’ll gain a skill that will not only last a lifetime, but is filled with endless creative possibilities! Best of all, after you “graduate,” you’ll be welcome to attend a FREE Stitching Circle at Purple Crayon! Sometimes dreams do come true!
