Bonsai Techniques

April 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Bonsai is a living form of art that demands both a knowledge of horticulture and an artistic eye. Peggy Snow has been studying bonsai since 1991 and will show some of the techniques and principles of good bonsai design. She will bring some of her bonsai trees that are in different stages of development, so that everyone may see the steps to creating a show worthy tree. Snow is the president of the Blue Ridge Bonsai Society and her work has been shown at the N.C. Bonsai Expo, the Governor’s Mansion in Annapolis, Md., and at the National Arboretum Spring Bonsai Show in Washington, DC.
