Carl Sandburg Heritage Golf Tournament

The first golf in Henderson County was played at Connemara Farms that would later become the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. Sandburg was no slouch at the game either, having helped teach Mark McCormack, Arnold Palmer’s long-time friend and agent, the game. The first annualCarl Sandburg Heritage Golf Tournament at Kenmure Country Club is not heritage in name only. There will be on-course competitions that will give every golfer a chance to play with replica hickory clubs and golf balls just like those used by Carl Sandburg. Thee will be a “Best Dressed” competition for those who want to come play in period dress. All golfers are welcome. The field is limited to 72 players.
