Creating Caricatures

Join professional illustrator and local resident John Cox for a two-hour drawing workshop and demonstration. Cox will help participants to understand how to use fundamental drawing techniques to exaggerate people’s best (and worst) features for a healthy dose of humor and fun. Each participant will create multiple caricatures, drawing from life and from photographic sources. Cox has more than 20 years of commercial experience, drawing cartoons for a number of publications. From hundreds of editorial cartoons produced during the early 2000’s, including the popular “Cox & Forkum” political cartoons, to the daily strip, Kirkwood, Cox has developed a loyal following.
