Etowah Shape Note Singing

This 112-year-old tradition is an enduring revival of a traditional mountain form. An annual performance plus covered-dish dinner (12-1pm) happens at Etowah Lions Club (447 Etowah School Road) with an old-fashioned singing school (9:15am) for beginners. Copies of William Walker’s 1873 book The Christian Harmony will be for sale. All levels welcome. www.etowahshapenote.org.
