Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra: Appalachian Spring

$10With spring now in full swing, the Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra (4SCO) announces its spring 2019 concert, featuring masterworks by Aaron Copland and Caroline Shaw. The orchestra’s third concert in its inaugural season will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 2, at 3pm a Grace Lutheran Church, 1245 6th Ave W., Hendersonville. Tickets are $10 and only available at the door. Proceeds support the orchestra. Donations will also be collected at the concert to support the Boy & Girls Club of Henderson County. The main feature on the program is Copland’s Appalachian Spring. The performance will include the premiere exhibition of a series of paintings based on the ballet score by Hendersonville artist Costanze Knight. Also on the program is Copland’s haunting music for the film Quiet City, with Peter Voisin, solo trumpet, and Pat Stone, solo English horn, and the incredible Entr’acte by Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Caroline Shaw.
