Fringe Fest Summer Night Call for Artists

August 28, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

The Asheville Fringe Arts Festival is gearing up for its edgiest festival yet. Artists are sought who are creating bold work in the spirit of experimentation and risk taking. Now in its 18th year, Asheville Fringe will be bringing even more shows, venues and random acts of fringe to its 2020 schedule. To highlight the call for artists there will be the third and final Fringe Summer Night at the Crow & Quill on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 8 to 10 pm, at 106 N Lexington Ave., Downtown Asheville. This free event will feature three fringe artist performances: Amanda Levesque, Jenni Cockrell, and Alli Marshall, who will present performance art, butoh dance, and spoken word. Fringe Festival organizers will be also encouraging proposal submissions and answering questions about the process. To apply for the 2020 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival, go to the website: http://www.ashevillefringe.org/apply-2020. Artists should read  the performer guidelines, then submit an online application and tech form by Monday, Sept. 23 at 9:23pm.
