Hendersonville Green Drinks: Rethinking our Wasteful Global Food System

On Thursday, May 11, Hendersonville Green Drinks welcomes Kate Lis, CMLC Americorp Stewardship Associate, to speak about how the global food system leads to waste, its effect on climate, and how to redistribute food toward feeding the hungry. Networking starts at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation follows at 6pm. As a stewardship associate for CMLC, Lis helps with restoration projects and conservation efforts, building bonds with nature and volunteers Hendersonville Green Drinks is presented by MountainTrue and the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy. Come to Green Drinks to learn more about current environmental issues, have relevant discussions, and meet with like-minded people. This is a monthly event and everyone is welcome.
