The Island of Misfit Instruments

The Island of Misfit Instruments started as an idea by violist, vocalist and composer An-Ya, who said, “Let’s have a gig where all the instruments in the band are the ones that rarely get hired.” The catch? This unique combination of instruments would perform unique arrangements of pop songs. The Island of Misfit Instruments is led by An-Ya on viola and electronics and also features Justice Mann on trombone and Jason DeCristofaro on vibes and xylophone.
