Open to all ages, this program will cover the history and forest management around Lake Julia as well as the life histories of the creatures that live in and around this ecosystem. Equipment will be used to explore the life forms around the lake, so wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Bring a towel, snacks and water. The group will meet at the Aleen Steinberg Visitor Center and carpool to the lake. The program will take two to three hours. There is a limit of 12 participants, and there are limited facilities at the lake. Sign up is required by calling 828-692-0100.
