This free event at Lake Lure Beach is a combined boating turnout and classic-car show. Antique and classic boats and cars are the highlight, including a 1917 REO Speedwagon Truck and “Miss America IX,” a 1930-era boat that was the first in the world to exceed 100mph. A boat parade happens Friday from 3-4pm, and the car-and-boat show is Saturday from 10am-4pm. For more information, see townoflakelure.com.
