Land Conservation in Transylvania County: Protecting Agriculture and Natural Heritage

Torry Nergart will present Land Conservation in Transylvania County: Protecting Agriculture & Natural Heritage at the Discover Natural Transylvania program in the Transylvania County Library’s Rogow Room on Thursday, April 5, at 6:30pm.  Conserving Carolina is a local land trust, serving Transylvania, Henderson and Polk counties. They save the special places people love and to date that totals around 45,000 acres. Torry Nergart is the conservation easement manager with Conserving Carolina, a graduate of Haywood and Western Carolina, and a resident of Brevard. Discover Natural Transylvania takes place on the first Thursday evening of most months at 6:30pm in the Rogow Room. Future presentations will feature heirloom herbals, the Carolina northern flying squirrel, Southern Highlands Reserve, Transylvania skies, and more. Each program lasts approximately one hour.
