The Savior of the French Broad River – The Wilma Dykeman Story

February 23, 2017 @ 7:00 pm

$5

The Center for Cultural Preservation presents a program that celebrates Wilma Dykeman, whose activism saved the French Broad River from being a toxic cesspool. Today the river is a fishing, boating, and swimming destination for many, thanks mainly to Dykeman’s work. The program features her son, Jim Stokely, who will lead a multi-media presentation about her life, legacy and impact today. Advance registration is strongly suggested. Go online to register.
