Silvermont’s Pumpkin Patch and Lighted Walk
October 13, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, repeating until October 28, 2017
There will be Lighted Pumpkin Patch Trails at Silvermont Park, East Main Street, Brevard, October 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28 from 7-9pm. There will be ghost stories, a scavenger hunt for white squirrels, children’s games, live music and lots of Halloween fun for all ages at Silvermont Park. The extensive collection of lighted pumpkin and other Halloween decorations that were previously part of the “Stingy Jacks” display in Pisgah Forest have been donated to the county. Using these decorations, the Friends of Silvermont have transformed Silvermont Park as ghosts, pirates, spiders, bats, scary squirrels and jack-o-lanterns stage a haunting. Activities for all ages will feature a Scary Squirrel Search, walks through the Haunted Pumpkin Patch trails, numerous games, live music and refreshments. The Pumpkin Patch events will be open from 7 to 9pm every Friday and Saturday night in October beginning Oct. 13. The cost will be $5 per person, with proceeds going to benefit Silvermont Park/Friends of Silvermont. During the events, pay parking will be available at the park for $5 and free handicapped parking. Please park at nearby lots. Oskar Blues trolley will run on October 21 and 22 and 28. The trails are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
