Storytelling in Films

This four-session course will examine unique styles of storytelling in films that could only be told with the magic of film editing. Each class will view a film and then discuss its unique qualities and plot structure. The films that will be presented are The Usual Suspects, Amelie, Lone Star and Strictly Ballroom. Beth Ellers, who taught film studies at Warren Wilson College, leads the course.
