Twisted Sisters Exhibit
April 4, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
An opening reception for Twisted Sisters will take place from 5 -7pm on April 4. All three artists will give demos in their chosen mediums on April 13 from 1-5pm. These events, along with the exhibition, are free and open to the public. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be on view from April 4-21 at The Gallery at Flat Rock. The self-proclaimed Twisted Sisters – Dian Magie, Lorraine Cathey and Cathy Langdon – work respectively in clay, fiber art and weaving. Magie, who works in clay, will present a special lineup of plates, cups and bowls especially for children to claim as their own, just in time for the Easter Bunny. Cathey, a fiber artist, will display her unique felted mohair bears, each with their own name and personality. Langdon, a weaver, will include her napkins and placemats, handwoven in spring colors. The exhibit will take the form of a tabletop, decked-out in a cornucopia of objects created by these three creative siblings, daughters of the nationally-known portrait and landscape artist Ruth Goldsborough.
