Volunteer Workday at the Mouth of Mud Creek

Volunteers will be removing non-native invasive plants to promote native diversity and preserve the floodplain in the French Broad River Valley. This land holds very important ecological and cultural value that needs protection. Volunteers will hike about one moderate mile and will learn invasive plant identification. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bring water, snacks, and lunch. Meet at the Hendersonville office at 9:30am to carpool or GPS coordinates (35.406279, -82.529429) at 10am.
