Join Conserving Carolina on Saturday, June 23, from 10am until 2pm for a work and learn party. In the morning participants will remove non-native invasive plant species, and in the afternoon the group will take a mushroom hike guided by Mike Hopping of the Asheville Mushroom Club. The event will be held at Florence Nature Preserve, a Conserving Carolina property located in the Hickory Nut Gorge. Those interested are asked to meet at the trailhead of Florence Nature Preserve at 10am. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring lunch and plenty of water. Extra snacks and water will be provided. All necessary tools will be provided, and participants will be taught how  to identify non-native invasive plants.
