The 2015 Bearfootin’ Auction drew a huge crowd to the Historic Courthouse steps.

The 2015 Bearfootin’ in Hendersonville auction was the wildest in recent memory. Large crowds filled the plaza at the Historic Courthouse as bidders anted up more than $43,000 for the 20 bears on display. Think Big Bear, sponsored by Champion Hills and decked out by artist Veronika Hart, received the highest winning bid: $7,000. But all the bears found a happy home and were heading to their new digs right after the auction. Fortunately (for those who have not seen the bears) Bold Life was on hand to document the shenanigans.
