Carl Sandburg National Historic Site is opening a temporary exhibit titled Dressing for the Occasion: Mid-Century Sandburg as Celebrity and Family Man. The exhibit, which opens May 13 and runs through October, features clothing and accessories from the park's permanent collection and loaned items from the Sandburg family. All of Henderson County's public libraries will serve as Feed the Need collection spots. The program supports children during the summer who rely on meals served at school as their main source of nutrition. Food donations may be dropped off from June 3 through Aug. 3. Food will go directly to children and should be in containers that are easy to open with their hands without tools.
